HOW OLD MUST MY CHILD BE?
We typically recommend 3 years old and older, but this really depends on the child. Some children don't like their faces to be touched, in this case, we do not recommend face painting. Instead, their hands, arms or legs can be painted. We strive for all kids to have a great experience and enjoy their time with us.

 

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR DESIGNS TO BE APPLIED? 

 "FULL FACE" art may take 5-15 minutes. Recommended for elementary age children and those who can sit very still. Great for teens and adults.
"CHEEK ART" (applied to face or arm) may take 3-5 minutes. Recommended for younger, wiggly children and large crowds.
"GLITTER TATTOOS" take 3-5 minutes for small and medium designs. Larger designs may take longer. Recommended for all ages.

 

HOW DO CHILDREN SELECT THE FACES THEY WISH TO HAVE?
Our certified artists will bring design menus for your guests to choose from.
 

WILL YOU DO A THEME PARTY?
Yes, our artists love theme parties. Simply let us know ahead of time so we can prepare for it. 

 

WHAT TYPE OF PAINTS DO YOU USE?
mymakeuparty.com uses only professional cosmetic grade face paints that are FDA approved and made especially for use on skin. Please always be aware of what face painters are putting on your child's sensitive skin. Just because something is labeled "washable or "non-toxic" does not mean that it is safe for children's faces. We cannot guarantee a reaction will not occur. However you may ask for a patch test if you feel uncertain.


HOW DO I REMOVE THE FACE PAINT AFTER THE PARTY?
Removing the face paint is fairly simple. Because most of the paints are water based, just use a mild soap and water, wipe using baby wipes. Some paint colors leave a slight residue of color, if this happens just apply a moisturizer or baby oil to the face, leave on for a few min. and wash your face again.

 

WHAT IS A GLITTER TATTOO AND HOW DO I REMOVE IT?
Glitter tattoos are cosmetic body art created by using 3 part design stencils along with super sparkly professional cosmetic glitter. The brilliant cosmetic glitter is applied using a hypoallergenic skin safe adhesive. They can last 3-7 days or longer and are water-resistant. Designs can be removed with alcohol or oil based products.


MY CHILD HAS VERY SENSITIVE SKIN AND SEVERE ALLERGIES. ARE THEY STILL ABLE TO GET THEIR FACE PAINTED?
Because every child is different with different tolerance levels we are not able to advise you on this. You, as their guardian should know best. But as a rule, We use the good old saying, "when in doubt - throw it out". So no, if you child has extremely sensitive skin and suffers from allergies to many different things,We would not suggest getting their face painted. Children may choose to have their hands and arms painted where it may be less sensitive than their face. You may ask for a patch test if you feel uncertain.

DOES MY MAKEUPARTY HAVE LIABILITY INSURANCE CERTIFICATE?
Yes, we are fully insured . So if your party venue requires "proof of coverage" please let us know.


HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Every party is different, and so it is very difficult to have a standard one size fits all rate. Prices vary depending on the types of designs, number of guests needing service as well as the length of each event. Please feel free to call  or email  for a quote. We respond to all business inquiries.

A deposit is required for events booked more than seven days in advance. Deposits are not refundable, but may be applied to a later date should there be a need to reschedule.

WHAT IS THE PREFERRED METHOD OF PAYMENT?
Cash payment is preferred from individuals; Corporate checks are also accepted. PAYPAL deposits/payments are the fastest way to secure your event date/time.
* PARTIES - 50% Deposit is Due to Reserve Day/Time. Balance due in cash or money order on day of party.

 

WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE TO CANCEL / RESCHEDULE MY APPOINTMENT?

To Reschedule, please contact mymakeuparty.com within 7 days of the original date. We will make every effort to accommodate the new date and time, however, if an artist is not available, any deposit will be refunded. For cancellations, if you do not contact us within the specified time frame, your deposit is nonrefundable. Why? Because once a date and time has been reserved, all other inquires for that date and time are turned away, unless we are given sufficient notice to fill that spot, you will lose your deposit.


All appointments are confirmed 1 week in advance, but please do not depend on mymakeuparty.com to contact you. Once your event is cancelled, please either call us or send  an e-mail. You can reach us at 917 275-7383.
